Researchers have found
that music programs have a positive impact on child development for
children between birth and their primary school years in many of the
developmental domains. Music for Kids has developed three age
appropriate classes that encourage your kids to develop and explore
different aspects of music as they grow. Each class is designed to build
your child's music vocabulary while having a positive impact on their
child-development.
Bongo Babies, with babies joining as soon as 6 months, introduces your
child to many styles of music and to the sounds of many different
instruments. Singing, moving to music, finger rhymes, and playing
percussion instruments aid in the development of fine and large motor
skills as well as language and socialization skills.
For our 2-3 year olds, Tootin' Toddlers builds upon the curriculum of
our younger class by emphasizing teaching color through musical games
and the use of xylophones.
In our oldest group music class, Poppin' Preschoolers brings it all
together and the kids begin to play simple songs on the xylophone (by
color and note name). Children are also introduced to the beginnings of
musical notation and learn to beat out simple rhythms.
We also offer group instrument classes in
keyboard, violin, guitar and voice. Private instruction for piano,
guitar, violin, percussion and saxophone, as well as voice lessons are
also available. |

School's out. Here's a great way to have some fun and keep them
learning. We've just opened registration for this Summer's group music
classes. For the summer, group music runs for 8 weeks, but features
the same great Music
Time
songs and games. If you love the music, and we know you will, you can
purchase the CD. Its a great way keep the fun rolling outside of class.
Please register and pay by Weds June 18th to ensure your class and
time. Miss Christine will be at Music for kids on Wednesdays from
9am-4pm, excluding lunch hour. As always, you can pay over the phone,
in person or online. Take a look at the

found out, the group instrument classes are a great way to introduce
your children to a new instrument. They have been so successful that we
are opening many new classes. Keyboard, Guitar, Recorder, and Violin.
