Researchers have found
that music programs have a positive impact on child development for
children between birth and their primary school years in many of the
developmental domains. Music for Kids has developed three age
appropriate classes that encourage your kids to develop and explore
different aspects of music as they grow. Each class is designed to build
your child's music vocabulary while having a positive impact on their
child-development.
Bongo Babies, with babies joining as soon as 6 months, introduces your
child to many styles of music and to the sounds of many different
instruments. Singing, moving to music, finger rhymes, and playing
percussion instruments aid in the development of fine and large motor
skills as well as language and socialization skills.
For our 2-3 year olds, Tootin' Toddlers builds upon the curriculum of
our younger class by emphasizing teaching color through musical games
and the use of xylophones.
In our oldest group music class, Poppin' Preschoolers brings it all
together and the kids begin to play simple songs on the xylophone (by
color and note name). Children are also introduced to the beginnings of
musical notation and learn to beat out simple rhythms.
We also offer group instrument classes in
keyboard, violin, guitar and voice. Private instruction for piano,
guitar, violin, percussion and saxophone, as well as voice lessons are
also available. |

Winter classes run from November 2nd - January 23rd.
We
know how much you and your kids love being here with us in music class
and how vital early exposure to music is to your child's development. We
also understand that the economy is tight, so we've decided to make
Music For Kids more affordable. It's the same great classes that you
love, just lower prices. We hope you'll take this opportunity to boost
your child's development and join us for our Summer session.

HIP HOP Dance Class
We
are proud to announce a new class at M4K this session, HIP HOP dance.
Miss Fleeta is very excited to teach this fast paced, high energy dance
class to your preschoolers and kindergartners. Your kids will have
so much fun as they get funky to the latest dance moves.
Miss Fleeta
earned her BFA in dance and theatre from Chapman University and has
performed in shows like West Side Story, The Nutcracker, Anything
Goes, Fame, Pippin, and more than 40 other dance performances. After
college, she continued dancing with Jazz Spectrum in Orange County and
taught Jazz dance at Jimmie DeFore’s Dance Center for her mentor
Christine Baltes. Miss Fleeta is now a mother of two and very excited to
be teaching dance to children. |
